"The Age of Innocence" review by Paula Lamb

The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton

FIC WHA (Bluffton, Beaufort, Hilton Head)
"Another 'oldie but goodie'. An intriguing look at the American version of royalty (late 1880s society in New York City). How the unwritten rules that governed the thinking and behavior of the 'right' people. How people's sense of morality, honor, and decency caused the individual who went against the "rules" or even thought of doing so, pain and at times ostracism. This book was a Pulitzer Prize winner. The first for a woman author."
