Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
"The title is a bit racy but the book is very well written. I would classify it as a paranormal/romance/mystery (is there such a classification?). It is the first one in a series featuring a futuristic world of emotional devoid Psy, Humans, and Human/Animal Changelings. It had a good plot and strong characters. There are six or seven so far in the series and I've read a couple of the others but the first one has been so far the best."
